How to hard boil an egg

How to hard boil an egg Boiling an egg could seem an easy task, but if you really want a quality job done then it’s a wise thing to get informed. Many people can’t eat an undercooked egg. An overcooked one is not a better option either. But how to hard boil an egg then ?

Method 1:
- put some water in a recipient and bring it to the boiling point; let it boil for 1 minute or less.
- turn off the heat but leave the recipient in its place
- put the egg in the water without breaking it (you may use a spoon to do this)
- cover the recipient with a plate or with its own lid and watch the clock
- after 15 minutes, take out the egg - you can either eat it then or preserve it in the refrigerator

Method 2:
- put some water in a recipient together with an egg
- bring the water it to the boiling point
- from the moment of reaching the boiling point, time 10 minutes
- stop the heat and recover the egg using a spoon

Extra tips:
- adding some salt to the water will make the peeling much easier
- vinegar added to the water will also help you with the peeling (but be careful about the quantity, you don’t want your egg to smell or taste like vinegar)
When trying to do this, one must be very careful with managing the heat and the boiling water, since these can produce pretty serious home accidents.

Extra info:
Eggs are a good source of protein. Bird eggs are the most commonly used in our daily alimentation - most of them come from chicken, duck or goose. Some people eat raw eggs directly from their peel, but this practice grows the risk of contracting salmonella. Also, proteins from raw eggs are less absorbable by the human organism.
